The Junior Parliaments are being praised for the role they are playing in promoting child rights and child participation. They took this opportunity since it is women`s month to appraise the female junior parliaments to represent and inspire both women and man child across the country. They also mention that the children`s rights are enshrined in the United Nation Convention on the Rights of Child and Africa Charter for Welfare of Children. The rights include the right to be heard and to participate. The junior parliaments are the most vocal when it comes to children`s rights. It is mentioned that, the voices of the female leaders go unheard and their contributions are sidelined most of the time.
